James has taught for 20 years — K–12 classrooms first, adult education now. He currently teaches HiSET prep at Wake Tech Community College in Raleigh. The frustration of not being able to give every student the help they needed is what pushed him to build the software he wished he'd had — and to build it for the rooms he still teaches in.
